Bell Schedule
Students who are not in school (or have not called, in certain cases) by 9:00 a.m. on the first day of each block, will be dropped from the block and placed on the waiting list.
Any student who must leave a block because of excessive absences, tardies, or behavior problems will have to sit out the rest of that block and all of the following block before having their names added to the bottom of the waiting list. Students who are dismissed from two blocks for any reason will not be allowed to return during the school year. Students who are dismissed for cause must pay a $25.00 re-entry fee.
Students who are absent or tardy for unusual and unavoidable reasons (as determined by the staff and administration) may be allowed to make up time and work for the block.
Students with absences totaling 5 hours will lose credit. Missed time will be counted in ½ day increments (not hourly--see bell schedule below). If you are more than thirty (30) minutes late it no longer counts as a tardy but as a ½ day absence. Students need to call the office by 9:00 a.m. if they are going to be absent.
Students more than 5 minutes late will be marked tardy. If a student is tardy three times, he/she will be dismissed from the block. If, however, there is "time" left in the five hours, a teacher may opt to take the time rather than dismiss the student.
Students will be given a morning break of 10 minutes and they must remain in the building. If they choose to leave any other time they will be dismissed for the block they're in and the block following. The five hours absent policy is for illness or emergency only, not for sluffing. Lunch will be 11:45 to 12:30 and they may leave campus during this time.
Students who are dismissed from two sessions for absences, behavior problems, or failure to receive a credit will not be allowed to return during the school year.
Students absent for unusual reasons ( as determined by staff and administration) may be allowed to make up time and work for the session.
Students may be dismissed for the following reasons:
1. Possession or use of alcohol, drugs, tobacco,
weapons, lighters, pornography, and other
unacceptable material.
2. Inappropriate or immodest dress, such as halter
tops, tank tops, bare midriffs, pants worn
